Coop Supercard explained in English

The Supercard is Coop's loyalty programme. You show it when you pay at Coop and collect superpoints, and 100 superpoints are worth CHF 1. You can redeem them or donate them to charity.

How you collect superpoints

Show your Supercard at the checkout: the plastic card, or the digital card in the Supercard app. The superpoints for your purchase are added to your account automatically, and the app shows your balance.

Pay with the Supercard credit card and every franc in a Coop store gives 2 superpoints, a permanent 2×. Everywhere else you pay with the card, every CHF 3 give 1 superpoint. Check the card's terms, such as any annual fee, before you apply.

On top of the normal superpoints, Coop runs bonus offers, see which bonus offers are worth it below.

What are my superpoints worth?

SuperpointsValue
100CHF 1
1'000CHF 10
5'000CHF 50
10'000CHF 100
100'000CHF 1'000

Bonus offers: which ones are worth it?

Coop's bonus offers come in two kinds. Most often you get a fixed number of extra superpoints for a purchase, often in the shops of the Coop group: for example +1'000 superpoints for a purchase at Interdiscount, or +222 at Coop Pronto. Sometimes the points are multiplied instead.

To judge a fixed bonus, turn it into francs and compare it with what you spend: 100 bonus superpoints are CHF 1. The same bonus is a great deal on a small purchase and hardly matters on a big one.

What this means in practice

Using your superpoints

Redeem them

When you redeem superpoints, every 100 are worth one franc. The ways to redeem, and the current offers, are listed in the Supercard app and on supercard.ch. A good habit: redeem for things you would buy anyway, so the points really save you money.

Give them to someone

Superpoints can be given to anyone with a Coop Supercard account. Someone in need can use them right away for groceries at Coop.

Donate them

Superpoints can also be donated on supercard.ch or in the Supercard app, for example to Pro Infirmis, SOS Kinderdorf or Coop Patenschaft für Berggebiete.

Collect them towards a goal

On Chlotze you can track your superpoints together with your Migros Cumulus points, and friends and family can pass theirs on to you, towards a block of 1'000'000 points, worth CHF 10'000.

Supercard or Cumulus?

Point for point, both programmes are worth the same: 100 points are CHF 1, in superpoints at Coop and in Cumulus points at Migros. In practice the Supercard gives a bit more back, because of its fixed bonuses: a +222 or +1'000 offer on a purchase you make anyway adds more than the normal points do. If you shop at both, it makes sense to have both cards. The points stay separate, since Coop and Migros are competitors, but Chlotze adds them up so you see your total in one place. Common questions

How much are 1'000 superpoints worth?

CHF 10. Every 100 superpoints are one franc.

Are superpoints worth the same as Cumulus points?

Per point, yes: in both programmes 100 points are worth CHF 1. Over a year, the Supercard's fixed bonuses usually give you a bit more back than Cumulus.

Can I move superpoints to Cumulus, or the other way round?

No. They are separate programmes of competing retailers.

Is a +1'000 superpoints offer worth it?

1'000 superpoints are CHF 10. On a CHF 100 purchase that is 10% back, on a CHF 500 purchase only 2%. Work out your offer.
